D’CORE EDITORIAL · SEPTEMBER 2026
Finish the work that creates dust
Plan painting, repairs and other messy work before installation. Furniture and soft furnishings should arrive into a clean, ready space. If work is still underway, discuss the timeline with your stager so the visit can be coordinated.
Make room for the transformation
Confirm which personal belongings and existing furniture should be removed before installation. We recommend clearing the living room, dining area and kitchen, then assessing bedrooms individually for any suitable pieces that can stay. A clear room-by-room plan avoids uncertainty when the team arrives.
Clean before the finishing touches
Clean the floors, surfaces, windows and bathrooms ahead of delivery. Small details show up in listing photography. Give particular attention to reflective surfaces, kitchen counters and the areas surrounding windows.
Coordinate access and parking
Share gate codes through your agreed secure channel, building access requirements, elevator bookings and any loading restrictions. Confirm where the installation team can park and who will be available if an access question comes up.
Plan photography after staging
Leave time for installation and styling before the photographer arrives. Confirm the schedule with both teams instead of assuming the home will be ready at a particular hour. D’Core can discuss photography alongside your staging proposal.
Keep the final walkthrough simple
Before installation day, confirm that repairs and cleaning are complete, agreed items have been removed, utilities are available and access is arranged. Flag any change in advance. A shared plan lets everyone focus on presenting the home beautifully.
